Diamonds have an affinity for oil, and oils remain on your diamonds after you wear them, the diamonds' radiance will dull, so gently wipe them with a soft cloth before putting them away. |

Diamonds score the highest possible score, 10, on the Mohs hardness scale, which represents a mineral's resistance to friction and scratching. They are difficult to damage, and you may feel relatively at ease about taking care of them. Note however, that diamonds may damage each other, so be careful that they do not rub against each other when you wear or store them. |
