How should I take care of my jewellery?

Use a soft, dry cloth and gently wipe your jewellery to remove any perspiration or dirt after it has been worn. It is advisable to remove your jewellery when applying make-up, when cooking, when washing your face or when bathing.

We recommend that you do not replace the battery on your own, as watches and clocks are mechanical devices. If you live outside of Japan, take your watch or clock to a watch dealer for assistance. Please refer to the links below for watch battery numbers.

How do I know my jewellery is Mikimoto?

All Mikimoto jewellery can be identified by our trademark, either Mikimoto trademark: outline of an oyster with a M inside or the MIKIMOTO name engraved on every jewel.
This engraved mark is your assurance of the highest standards of quality and integrity.

Are ring sizes standard between different countries?

Ring sizes are different in each country. In Japan, sizes range from 1 to 27, with each size going up 1 mm in circumference and 1/3 mm in diameter. Please note that due to differences in design, rings of the same size may not fit exactly the same. We recommend you try our rings on before purchasing them.
